1:1 Online somatic therapy
For people who want gentle, ongoing body-based support to sooth their nervous system, overcome burnout and constant pressure, and find more grounding.
What is somatic therapy?
It's a body-based, trauma-informed approach to working with stress, overwhelm, anxiety, and the patterns that live deeper than thinking can reach.
Most of us have learned to live mostly in our minds: analysing, reasoning, trying to think our way through what hurts. But the body holds its own intelligence, and its own version of what we've lived through. When experiences feel overwhelming, the nervous system keeps responding from the point of survival.
Somatic therapy works directly with the nervous system and the body. Together we slow down and notice sensations, breath, and the small signals the nervous system is sending. This creates space for the body to stop bracing and begin settling the responses it's been holding for a long time.
We don't push or force. The pace is led by what feels possible in your system.

This might be for you if:
-
Are navigating burnout, chronic stress, anxiety, or sustained overwhelm
-
Are functioning on the outside but exhausted underneath, carrying other people's needs, high responsibilities, a world that feels heavy
-
Feel disconnected from yourself, or from your body
-
Notice your body feels tight or tense, full of symptoms with no clear cause and you can't seem to stop bracing or slow down
-
Have tried things that helped a bit, but you're still running the same patterns, waking up with a low-level dread or flatness you can't quite name
-
Want a regular space to land, with someone who can hold it with you, alongside, or after, talk therapy
-
Are ready to commit to five sessions of steady, body-based support
What sessions are like
Sessions are 60 minutes, online, mostly seated, with the option to move, stand up, or close your eyes, whatever your body is asking for. We begin with a check-in, then work with what's actually present: sensations, breath, imagery, gentle movement, sound, stillness, or words.
-
A trauma-informed space, paced to your capacity
-
Sessions are tailored to what you actually need, week to week
-
Simple practices you can return to between sessions
-
No expectation to talk about your story unless you want to
-
A relational nervous system to settle alongside. Co-regulation is big part of the work
What typical progression might look like
We usually begin by exploring what's currently present for you, whether that's burnout, chronic stress, anxiety, feeling disconnected, or something quieter you can't quite name, and set a clear intention for the work.
Then we focus on building a sense of internal safety and grounding and build resources you can return to when things feel overwhelming. From there, we gradually support your nervous system to meet sensations and emotions at a pace that right to you.
Over time, we'll expand your capacity to stay with and process more difficult sensations or emotions, drawing on practices such as pendulation, titration, and other resourcing approaches.
Please note: I work with a limited number of 1:1 clients so if the sessions are booked out, you will be offered a place on a waitlist
Testimonials
"I've been trying to push the feeling away for so long. In the sessions I realised I'd been approaching it completely wrong, my brain just kept trying to fix everything, and it was exhausting. Slowly I learned that maybe there was nothing to fix. I just needed to be with it, and find a way to let my body feel held. That shift changed everything." — A., 34
"I've tried a lot of things over the years. This was the first time I didn't have to translate myself, or squeeze my experience into someone else's framework. Aleksandra just worked with what I said, in the way I made sense of it. For the first time, something actually landed for me." — M., teacher
"I hadn't realised how heavy I'd been carrying things until I started to put them down. I can't fully explain what happened in the sessions but something I'd been holding for years finally got to rest. I feel lighter than I have in a very long time. It's not that everything is resolved. It's that I'm no longer alone with it inside myself." — K.

I know exactly what it's like to have insight without change.
For years I was high-functioning, successful, capable, doing the work, and completely stuck inside the same loops. Even after therapy, I remained in cycles of over-achieving, people-pleasing, and emotional survival. The patterns didn't shift until I stopped trying to understand them from my head and started working with my body directly. That's when a real transformation happened, one that has held.
I'm Aleksandra. My approach brings together 15 years of personal practice and training: somatic trauma healing, nervous system regulation, eco-therapy, Internal Family Systems, and a PhD in Mental wellbeing interventions. But the most important thing I bring is that I've walked this path myself. I was my own first client.
Frequently asked questions
What if I'm not sure this is right for me?
That's exactly what the free connection call is for. There's no pressure to commit. It's simply a chance to explore together whether this approach fits where you are.
How many sessions do I need?
We start with a minimum of five sessions, which gives your nervous system enough time to begin recognising the work and settling into it. From there, support can be ongoing, much like with talk therapy. Some people stay for a few months, others continue for longer. We'll talk about what makes sense for you as we go.
How is it different to traditional talk therapy?
Talk therapy works primarily through language and insight: naming patterns, exploring stories, making sense of experience. Somatic therapy works through the body. We still talk, but we will work primarily with your nervous system. This matters because some patterns, particularly those rooted in stress, overwhelm, or survival don't fully shift through thinking alone. Many people find that somatic therapy complements talk therapy, or goes deeper than talk therapy alone has been able to.
Do I have to talk about my trauma?
No. The work doesn't depend on narrative. We work with what your body is doing now, not with the story of how it got there. You're welcome to share whatever feels useful, but nothing is required. For many people, the relief of not having to explain or justify is itself part of the healing.
I've tried so many things. How is this different?
Because this isn't another approach that works at the thinking level. Your nervous system doesn't speak in thoughts. It speaks in sensation, tension, and the body's constant awareness of safe or not safe. Until you work at that level, the old patterns keep running.
What if I'm in crisis or need acute mental health support?
Somatic therapy is supportive for many things, but it isn't a replacement for crisis care or specialist mental health treatment. If you're in acute distress, please reach out to your GP, a crisis line, or a registered mental health professional. We can talk about whether somatic therapy might be a useful part of your wider support, alongside other care you're receiving.
